Deputy General Manager, Michael Longstaff will be promoted to General Manager of the Conference Centre & Hotel and General Manager Peter Chubb will be appointed to the new position of Development Director.
Both Michael and Peter will step into their new roles at the start of the new financial year in August 2012.
Deputy General Manager, Michael Longstaff , who has been at Weetwood Hall for ten years and in the position of deputy manager for four years says “I am extremely pleased about my promotion and I am very much looking forward to taking on my new position of General Manager here at Weetwood Hall”
The position of Development Director for Peter Chubb has evolved due to a new concept which Weetwood Hall is launching to enhance its conferencing and events business sector.
As part of its portfolio of conferencing services, Peter is looking to develop “Inspirational Conventions & Events”. This involves researching and identifying suitable subjects, appointing a Programme Director to organise the conference framework, content, visits and key note speakers all of which can be developed, organised and hosted as a residential or non-residential event on a range of topics and themes.
Peter Chubb says: “I am very excited to step into the role of Development Director. I will still retain overall responsibility for sales & marketing and management of large capital investment projects but the focus will be on the future of Inspirational Conventions & Events which will give everyone the opportunity to be inspired to either organise or attend conferences which are of special interest to them.”
