Weetwood Hall has achieved the quality standard for part time wheelchair users, as designated by the National Accessible Scheme.
Speed limitation signs are in place restricting traffic to 10 mph on the estate.
There are three designated car parking bays with appropriate signage located in the turning circle near to both hotel and conference reception.
Both hotel and conference reception can be accessed via the ramp located between both areas.
The Manor House can be accessed as there is no impediment between the road and pavement kerb.
Weetwood Hall does meet the Building Regulations (Part M) for an existing building.
Public toilet facilities
There are dedicated facilities available within the conference centre and hotel reception with an appropriate assistance alarm system in operation.
There is an appropriate lift for those using a wheelchair to access the syndicate rooms on the first floor.
Access to the first floor syndicates can be obtained via the hotel lift which is 790mm wide.
There are induction loops for those with hearing difficulties in: Lawnswood Suite, Headingley Suite, Cookridge Suite and Bramley.
Two of the hotel bedrooms, located on the ground floor, are equipped to meet the needs of those using a wheel chair with especially adapted wardrobes and wet-room facilities.
For improved safety Weetwood Hall also supplies a Deafgard, a portable device for communicating the sound of fire alarm to deaf and hard of hearing people.
The flat screen televisions located in the hotel bedrooms have the facility to activate subtitles where applicable.
The colours and textures of the wall-covering, carpet and soft furnishings in the bedrooms meet the recommendations of the DDA visual contrast guidelines.
The bedroom pillows comprise 50/50 polyester/cotton for the cover and 100% polyester for the filling. The duvet comprise 100% cotton for the cover and 70/30 polyester/cotton filling.
Menus depict what is available for those with a vegetarian and wheat free dietary requirement. Halal meat products are available, our lamb and chicken is halal, and any further requirements can be provided with 48 hours notice.
Due to the age of the estate dating back to 1625 there are difficulties for those using a wheelchair, accessing the cobbled courtyard, the Stables Pub, and Italian Gardens although similar facilities are easily accessible elsewhere on the estate.
