How to increase your text size

Using Page Zoom in Internet Explorer Using Page Zoom in Firefox or Opera

1. Open up Internet Explorer 7, 8 or 9.

2. Click on the Page button in the upper right-hand menu (View button in IE9).

3. Roll your mouse cursor over the Zoom menu item to view its options.

4. Select Zoom In or Zoom Out if you want to make the page slightly larger or smaller.

5. Choose among the following default zoom levels to zoom to more precise measurements: 400%, 200%, 150%, 125%, 100%, 75% and 50%.

6. Set a custom zoom level by clicking on Custom… and inputting your desired zoom percentage.

1. Get a browser that supports zooming such as Firefox or Opera.

2. Click to View then Zoom then Zoom Text Only if you wish.

3. Press Ctrl and + to zoom in.

4. Press Ctrl and - to zoom out.

5. Press Ctrl and to restore the original size.

Tips

You can hit CTRL + to zoom in or CTRL – to zoom out.

Hitting CTRL 0 resets the zoom level to 100%.

If your mouse has a wheel, you can hold down CTRL and spin the wheel up to zoom in, and spin the wheel down to zoom out.

There were some changes to the zoom functionality in Internet Explorer 8. Zooming in Internet Explorer 7 allowed text to overflow off of the screen, and required you to manipulate a horizontal toolbar to view all the information on a web page. In Internet Explorer 8, the text is wrapped and the horizontal toolbar is no longer needed, making for a more user-friendly zooming experience. Internet Explorer also scales elements within the web page, rather than simply magnifying them. For this reason, the zoom feature in Internet Explorer 8 is now called Adaptive Zoom.
