With the night’s drawing in and the leaves slowly turning, it’s time to accept that summer is over and the Christmas countdown can officially begin.

As we all prepare for the swiftly approaching festive season, shopping and all manner of winter wonderland delights, we’re looking North to one of the glistening jewels in the Northern shopping selection with a compressive look at What’s On at Trinity Leeds in Leeds city centre.

Born in 2013, December brings about Trinity Leeds’ third Christmas and a range of activities and conveniences to add magic to gift-giving this year. From 12th November, the Christmas lights will be illuminated, the decorations will be in place and the centre’s opening hours will be extended to 9pm on weekdays. From 14th December though, hours will be further extended to 10pm right up until the day before Christmas Eve, giving even the most last minute shoppers plenty of breathing space.

With late night shopping brings late night carrying of bags, boxes and a grand array of Christmas paraphernalia. To lessen the baggage burden, the centre’s car park costs just £3 for the night for those pulling up after 5pm.

Taking the kids Christmas shopping is almost always difficult, but a great excuse to take youngsters all around the centre is the promise of finding some surprises along the way. This year, Trinity Leeds’ resident festive snowman Dave (and his family) will be positioned all around the centre to collect some holiday essentials before the frozen-trio retire to Hawaii (!) We’d really recommend snapping a selfie with all five of these snowy guys because Tweeting or posting pics on Facebook will enter you into an exclusive prize draw. If that wasn’t enough, taking a selfie in the centre and sharing it with Trinity Leeds could earn you a place on the centre’s brand new Christmas décor, with more to be unwrapped here nearer the time!

Aside from snowmen and reindeer (as Trinity Leeds will continue hosting two antler-clad friends as part of the citywide reindeer hunt) shopping also gets serious with grand plans tucked just under the Christmas tree for Black Friday on 27th November and cultural buzzes reverberating around the centre in the form of a 400-strong chorus singing in the season with a live brass band on 10th December, there is much, much more to this experience in Trinity Leeds than ever before.

Whether it’s shopping ‘til you drop late at night, taking downtime from the shops to catch Star Wars: Episode VII with pizza in luxury at the Everyman or getting snap-happy with the snowmen, Trinity has something for everyone – you can even grab a centre gift card to make the perfect stocking fillers for everyone this year.
