Are you brave enough to face the Halloween weekend at the Stables Pub?
Halloween’s the time where we all regress into big kids, donning our scary costumes, carving pumpkins and enjoying spooky-themed parties to celebrate the occasion. If you’re keen to channel your inner 5-year-old and really get into the spirit of things this coming weekend, head over to the Stables Pub at Weetwood Hall, where there’s a fabulous Halloween spooktacular going on.
It’s a Halloween Extravaganza– all weekend long
Other venues may throw a Halloween party, but Weetwood Hall likes to do things a little differently. To really make the most of celebrating Halloween in Leeds, the Stables Pub is throwing a kind of spooky extravaganza running all weekend long, from 12 noon to 11pm each day. Take the Friday off work and head over on 30th October, and don’t miss the big day itself – Saturday 31st October.
Let’s start with the main thing that people flock to the Stables Pub in Leeds for – the food and drink! Halloween at Weetwood Hall is set to be a terrifyingly delicious event, as there are lots of spooky specials on the menu.
The ‘Witches Spookylicious Meal’ includes seasonal treats such as pumpkin soup and chicken, bacon and squid ink tagliatelle, aka. ‘Chicken in Mud’. The pub’s creative and mischievous chefs have also come up with the ‘Black Burger’, a Yorkshire beef burger with jalapenos and roast red peppers. For pudding, diners can enjoy ‘Witches Dessert’, an RIP chocolate pot with vanilla bean ice cream.
To wash all this down with, there are a selection of special themed drinks on the menu. Highlights include the mysterious Dark & Spooky Cocktail (no one knows what’s in it!) and Leed’s Brewery’s extra-special American Pumpkin Ale.
Win a free meal with an awesome costume
It wouldn’t be Halloween in Leeds without a pub full of werewolves, vampires, ghosts and witches. Anyone coming to the Stables Pub this weekend is encouraged to go all-out on their Halloween costumes, and there’s a great incentive to do so. The scariest or most creative costume will win a meal for four people at the Stables Pub – so well worth putting a bit of extra effort in!
Halloween is also about pumpkins, carved to perfection to create terrifying faces. If you fancy yourself as a dab hand at pumpkin carving, and you can even rope in the kids (with careful supervision of course), bring your creation along to Weetwood Hall’s popular pub this weekend for the chance to win an extra prize. Again, it’s a free meal for yourself and three of your pals, so get carving those pumpkins!
The Halloween Weekend at Stables Pub runs from Friday 30th October to Saturday 31st October 2015, with the fun and games going on from 12 noon to 11pm each day. Happy Halloween everyone!
