Weetwood Hall Conference Centre and Hotel has been awarded the prestigious ‘Green’ status by the independent healthcare meetings consultancy Compliant Venues in demonstrating their investment in training and the relevance of the conference centres facilities to meetings and events for the healthcare sector.

This year the team at Weetwood Hall went the extra mile by putting forward team members to take part in a Healthcare training course ensuring that the Conference Centre understands the relevant regulatory codes and company policies and has onsite healthcare champions to manage the expectations of this sector.

The awarding body, Compliant Venues, works with healthcare organisations to provide them with venues that meet the specific criteria deemed appropriate for a meeting. Venues across the UK are rigorously assessed and awarded a fitting accreditation which is designed to provide an independent view to healthcare organisations when it comes to venue selection.

Weetwood Hall is the only conference centre and hotel in Leeds that has been awarded the ‘Green’ status which is the highest ranking. Each venue is assessed on six different areas to determine their status, these include; sales and marketing, location, fit for purpose, facilities, service and cost.

Mark Handforth, Director of Compliant Venues said: “Weetwood Hall’s extensive meetings and events facilities provide an authentic conference centre wrapped in a four star product. The venue strives to exceed branded products and with their MIA Gold award has demonstrated tangible steps to deliver a high standard. With a traditional meet, eat and sleep offer, the venue also has many meeting rooms designed for web conferencing and brainstorming sessions.

“A reflection that is principal positioning for meetings and events. Location is a key feature of the hotel with easy access to Leeds Bradford airport and the M1, M62 and A1 road network. With free parking it provides delegates to easily drive to the venue and avoid parking charges.”

Marie Astle, Sales Manager & Healthcare Champion said: “It is a testament to our conference facilities that Weetwood Hall has been awarded this accreditation. We strive to cater for all organisations and their individual needs and are delighted to once again meet those of the healthcare sector. We now have healthcare champions at Weetwood Hall who are trained to liaise directly with healthcare professionals on their requirements for booking conferences.”
