Accessibility of facilities
As an award-winning hotel in Headingley, we pride ourselves on providing a convenient, safe and secure place to stay, visit, meet and work for all of our visitors, guests and employees. Our aim is to be consistently rated as one of the best hotels in Yorkshire, and we are committed to ensuring our contemporary facilities are accessible to everyone.
National Accessible Scheme accreditation
Weetwood Hall has achieved the Quality Standard designated by the National Accessible Scheme for part-time wheelchair users.
To ensure our hotel in Leeds remains safe for our guests, we have 10mph speed limitation signs in place throughout our grounds.
Weetwood Hall has three designated disabled car parking bays which are clearly labelled in the turning circle close to the hotel and conference reception areas.
Ramps are installed at the front of the hotel, ensuring both the hotel and conference facilities have wheelchair access.
Public toilet facilities
Our extensive and comprehensive conference centre has public toilet facilities that are equipped with an appropriate alarm system for the comfort and convenience of all our guests. The public toilets in our hotel reception have similar alarm systems in operation.
Our conference facilities include a lift designed for wheelchair access, providing full access to the syndicate rooms on the first floor.
Our conference and meeting rooms are contemporary and well equipped for accessibility. The Headingley Suite, Lawnswood Suite, Cookridge Suite and Bramley Suite have build-in induction loops to assist visitors with hearing difficulties.
Our four star accommodation in Headingley, Leeds, encompasses two ground-floor hotel bedrooms that are equipped with wet-room facilities and adapted wardrobes, designed to meet the needs of guests using wheelchairs.
We prioritise the safety of all our guests. Weetwood Hall supplies a Deaf Gard, a portable device designed to alert guests with hearing difficulties to the sound of the fire alarm.
Our hotel bedroom flat-screen televisions have a subtitle facility to ensure all our guests can enjoy watching TV in their room.
Weetwood Hall’s bedroom décor, including its colour scheme, textures and soft furnishings, have all met the recommendations of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) visual contrast guidelines.
Dining at Weetwood Hall
At Weetwood Hall, we recognise the importance of providing full ingredient information. Those dining in our restaurant can relax with full knowledge of the ingredients that go into our delicious, locally-grown dishes. Our comprehensive menus include information for those with vegetarian and wheat-free dietary requirements. Halal meat products are also available at Weetwood Hall.
We can generally cater for all dietary requirements. All we ask is that you give us a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.
As the Weetwood Hall estate dates back to 1625, and much of the original character and features have been retained, certain areas of our hotel unfortunately have restricted wheelchair access. These include the cobbled courtyard, the Stables Pub and the Italian Gardens.
